Aseptic Suite and Containment Level 3 Labs

Bassaire successfully completed the design, build, commissioning, validation and user training for the fully operational Aseptic Suite and containment level 3 laboratories at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The project underwent a thorough DQ/IQ/OQ process in order to achieve MHRA compliance.

The facility is used to manufacture the following products:

• Cytotoxic products

• Biologic products

• CIVA products

• TPN products

The cleanroom suite has two dedicated Air Handling Systems which are capable of meeting the required air changes, room pressures and environmental conditions. One AHU serves the CYTO / Biologics facility and the other serves the CIVA / TPN and ancillary areas. Each unit has a duty and stand by motor which will automatically change over in the event of a malfunction.
